Our Commitment to Magnet
UF Health Jacksonville has received Magnet designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center Magnet Recognition Program in 2011, 2016 and looks forward to maintaining recognition upon the 2020 renewal. The Magnet Recognition Program uses a rigorous process to certify the best health care organizations not only across the United States but also across the world. The designation recognizes health care organizations that provide successful nursing practices and strategies, and signifies high quality nursing to consumers. Nursing staff at UF Health Jacksonville undergo a lengthy application and review process prior to each renewal year in order to be considered. Magnet is only one part of the many efforts of Nursing to continue improving patient care and collaboration on campus.
As an organization that is committed to nursing excellence, we have embraced the use of nursing research and evidence-based practices to influence the way that we conduct our work. We demonstrate our ability to meet the standards for nursing care related to clinical competency and assessment, education, cultural diversity and collaboration by using a performance measurement and improvement process.
At UF Health Jacksonville, nurses are the vital link between receiving average care and receiving excellent care. We are committed to hiring a nursing workforce that wants to practice autonomously yet in collaboration with the healthcare team. Nurses who want to improve their practice each day by asking the simple question of "why" are the nurses we want filling our clinical center units.
